History of Kwanzaa craft was the Conference’s only performance and the Conference’s most highly attended event.

Performing at the Benton Convention & Civic Center’s North Main Hall Troupers read seven (7) of the twelve (12) Bill Cosby authored Little Bill books
Herein is a report of Third Baptist Church of San Francisco’s Being Black is Being Smart ministry’s The Third Theatre Troupe first tour outside of its home state of California:
On August 1, 2005 six (6) Troupers traveled to Winston-Salem, NC to perform Bill Cosby Little Bill book Reader’s Theater shows for the National Black Theatre Festival’s (NBTF) Youth/Celebrity Project and the 19th Annual BTN Conference Marvin Sims Teacher Institute.
On the road TTTT was lead by African American Drama Company (AADC) Executive Director Dr. Ethel Pitts Walker. The children’s productions were directed by AADC Artistic Director Phillip E Walker and stage managed by professional actor James Tyrone Wallace, II. The kid’s primary chaperons were Destine Durham and Acquanetta Brooks among several others.

Finally on Saturday morning August 6, 2005 at the Marriot Hotel Marcus & Jazmine Polk read roles for a production of the National Black Theatre Festival’s Reader’s Theatre of New Works.
