CREATOR BIOS
WARREN “PETE” MOORE (Music)
is best-known as the bass vocalist of The Miracles who co-wrote some of their smash hits like “Going to a Go-Go”, “Tracks of My Tears” and “Ooo Baby Baby”. Mr. Moore also produced LP’s for some of Motown’s greatest artists including Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Diana Ross & the Supremes and Smokey Robinson.
WILLIAM “BILLY” GRIFFIN (Lyrics)
was Smokey’s replacement in The Miracles. Billy will forever be known for his leadership in creating the still popular #1 song from which this project is titled,
LOVE MACHINE . These days Mr. Griffin is living and working in England.
TRAVIS D. WALKER, JD (Playwright)
This being his first writing commission, Mr. Walker earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law. His other writing credits include The Boy who would be King screen play and two (2) wildly successful MLK celebration stage plays. Travis is employed as an Area Manager for Enterprise Car Sales Division.
PHILLIP E. WALKER, MFA (Director)
This being his sixth AADC directing assignment, Phillip has also directed for: the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock, the San Francisco Mime Troupe-CA, Dublin Theatre Company-CA, National Black Theatre Festival-NC, Columbus’ King Arts Complex-OH, Gettysburg’s Rainbow Theatre Project-PA, the Mid-Missouri Ethnic Festival-MO and more, including universities nationwide.
JACKIE TAYLOR (Coach)
is a producer, director, actress and founding Executive Director of the Black Ensemble Theater. As a classmate of Phil, she was the second African American to graduate from Loyola University’s Theatre Department. Jackie has written, directed and produced more than 100 productions for her Company.
